Who is messaging you

The business you gave your number to. Tempestronics builds and runs the software that sends the messages, through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, using that business's own WhatsApp Business Account. Every message shows the business's name, not ours.

What you will receive

• Confirmations of something you did on the business's website, such as joining an event guestlist.
• Reminders on the day, with the practical details.
• Promotions, only if you ticked the separate box for them. The confirmation box alone never leads to promotions.

Receiving these messages costs you nothing beyond your normal data use.

How you opted in

On the business's website, you entered your number and ticked a box agreeing to receive confirmations and reminders by WhatsApp. The box was not pre-ticked. We record the time and the exact wording you agreed to, so that both you and the business can see what was consented to.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message, or tap the Stop messages button under it. That ends every message to your number from that business through our service, at once, and we keep a record of your number only so that it is never messaged again. Promotional messages have their own Stop promotions button, which stops promotions while leaving your confirmations running.

What is stored, and where

Your number, your name, what you signed up for, your consent choices and a log of each message sent. It is stored in the business's own systems, not on this website. Full details, including how long it is kept, are in our Privacy Policy.

If something goes wrong

A message you did not expect, a number you never gave, or messages that continue after you replied STOP: email hello@tempestronics.com with the business's name and the number, and we will sort it out within two working days. You can also ask us to delete your information; the Data Deletion Instructions explain how.
