Privacy Policy
What this website and the Tempestronics Messaging service collect, why, who sees it, how long it is kept, and your rights.
Who we are
This website, tempestronics.com, is run by Tempestronics, a sole proprietorship of Saifur Rahman Mohsin, based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. We are the data fiduciary for information collected through this site. For the Tempestronics Messaging service described below, we act as a data processor for the businesses that use it, and each of those businesses is the data fiduciary for its own customers.
Write to us at hello@tempestronics.com for anything in this policy.
What this policy covers
Two things. First, this website. Second, the Tempestronics Messaging service: a Meta app owned by us through which client businesses send WhatsApp messages to their own customers. The service section is written now so that the policy does not change when the service goes live.
What this website collects
Very little. The site has no forms, no analytics, no advertising tags and no embedded third-party content, and its fonts are served from our own domain.
| When | What | Why | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| You switch the theme | A single value, light or dark, in your browser's local storage | Remember your choice on your next visit | Your choice; never sent to us |
| You email us | Whatever you write, and your email address | Answer you and, if it leads to work, run the engagement | Consent, then contract |
| Any page loads | Server logs held by our hosting provider: IP address, browser type, page requested, time | Serve the site and keep it secure | Legitimate use by the host |
What we do not collect
- No payment details. We never take card or bank details through this site.
- No identity documents.
- No cookies, analytics or advertising identifiers.
- No location data.
The Tempestronics Messaging service
Businesses that use our service connect their own WhatsApp Business Account to our Meta app. When one of their customers opts in on the business's website, our software sends that customer WhatsApp messages on the business's behalf: confirmations, reminders and, only with a separate opt-in, promotions.
In this service the business is responsible for its customer relationship and for collecting valid opt-ins. We operate the software. Meta provides the WhatsApp platform and receives every message we send. The data involved:
| What | Where it comes from | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your phone number | The form you filled on the business's website | Deliver the message |
| Your name and the details of what you signed up for, such as an event, date, venue and party size | The same form and the business's records | Fill in the message |
| Your opt-in choices, when you made them, and the wording you agreed to | The form's checkboxes | Prove consent, and keep transactional and promotional consent separate |
| Your opt-out, if you reply STOP or tap Stop messages | Your reply | Make sure you are never messaged again by mistake |
| A log of each message: template used, Meta's message id, delivery status, any error, and the time | Our software and Meta's delivery reports | Track delivery and fix problems |
This information is stored in the business's own systems, not on this website. We keep no copy of your message content beyond what is needed to detect an opt-out. Nothing about you is used for advertising or sold to anyone.
How we use information
- To answer your enquiries and deliver work you engage us for.
- To send, on a business's behalf, the WhatsApp messages you opted in to, and to stop them when you ask.
- To keep the website and the messaging service running and secure.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping records of consent and of opt-outs.
Who we share it with
| Recipient | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Netlify, Inc., our hosting provider | Server request logs | Serving this website |
| Meta Platforms (WhatsApp) | Recipient numbers, message content and delivery events for messages sent through the service | Delivering WhatsApp messages |
| The business you signed up with | Everything in the service table above; it is their data | They are the fiduciary for their own customers |
| Professional advisers, or authorities where the law requires | Only what the specific matter needs | Legal compliance and advice |
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Where information is stored
This website is served from Netlify's global network, so its request logs may be held outside India. WhatsApp messages pass through Meta's servers, which are outside India. Records for the messaging service live in each business's own hosting, which for our current clients is in India. Where information leaves India, it does so to providers bound by their own published privacy terms.
Cookies and browser storage
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| theme | Local storage, first party | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme | Until you clear your browser storage |
That is the whole table. The site sets no cookies.
Messages from us
From this website, the only messages you receive are replies to emails you sent us. WhatsApp messages come only through the messaging service, from a business you gave your number to, and only after you opted in on their website. Every such message carries a Stop messages button, and replying STOP to any of them ends all messages from that business through our service. Promotional messages need their own opt-in and stop separately.
How long we keep information
| Information | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Email correspondence | 24 months after our last exchange, or longer where a contract or invoice requires it |
| Theme preference | Until you clear it |
| Hosting request logs | As set by Netlify's own retention |
| Messaging logs held for a business | 24 months |
| Opt-out records | Indefinitely, so that a number that asked to stop is never messaged again |
| Backups in a business's deployment | Up to 90 days |
Security
The website is static and served over HTTPS. Messaging credentials are held outside any code repository, webhook traffic from Meta is checked against a signature before it is trusted, and access to each business's records is limited to the software that needs it. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach affects you we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and how it is used;
- correct or complete it;
- erase it, subject to what we must keep by law;
- withdraw consent, which for messaging means simply replying STOP;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you are unable to.
Email hello@tempestronics.com. We respond within 30 days. Where the information belongs to a business using our messaging service, we will pass your request to that business and confirm to you when it is done. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Age
This website and the messaging service are not directed at people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child's information has reached us, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy
When we change what we collect, we change this policy first and update the effective date at the top. Substantive changes to the messaging service are also passed to the businesses using it so they can update their own policies.
This document was drafted from an audit of what the website and service actually collect, and from Indian law as of 11 September 2026. It is not legal advice. If you rely on it for your own business, have a local advocate review it.
